Reopen a Discussion

Contentstack allows you to reopen resolved discussions when further collaboration is required, ensuring that conversations stay dynamic and adaptable. This feature lets teams revisit past conversations as needed.

You can reopen a resolved discussion from the Discussions tab in the right navigation panel.

Warning: You cannot reopen a resolved discussion if another discussion is already linked to the parent field.

To reopen a discussion, log in to your Contentstack account and perform the following steps:

  1. Go to your stack and click the “Entries” icon in the left navigation panel or use the shortcut key “E” (for both Windows and Mac users).
  2. Open an entry with comments, click the Discussions tab in the right navigation panel, and select Resolved from the dropdown menu.
  3. Hover over the discussion you want to reopen and click Reopen. Reopening a discussion in Contentstack

Once a discussion is reopened, all comments within it become visible in the field view. You can add new comments and continue collaborating on the field data.

Note: If you restore an entry from the Trash, its associated comments and discussions will not be recovered.
