FBS was challenged by legacy in-house tools, and looking to optimize processes and performance through headless technology. After adopting Contentstack’s headless CMS, responsibility for managing content has been handed over to content managers, freeing up developers to work on the core product. The ability to make immediate content changes has resulted in greater autonomy and control for content managers behind the scenes, and an up-to-date and accurate front-end experience for users. 

The challenge

As a leading global Forex broker brand, FBS works across different countries, traders and partners to offer a wide range of services to their clients, including trading various instruments, depositing and withdrawing funds, and receiving fast trade execution. 

FBS was working with a legacy CMS they had built in-house, and was looking to optimize its processes by moving to headless technology. “We wanted to manage content in a more streamlined way, and close content requests faster, without relying on the development team, who had become a bottleneck.” Yana Simanova, Project Lead, FBS Markets Inc. 

Ideally, content managers and business owners would be able to handle content requests independently within a single working day, without the need for developer involvement at all.

The solution

After researching the headless CMS technology in the market, FBS ultimately chose Contentstack for its scalability, time-to-market, and the ability to validate performance and functionality in a test environment. FBS was able to see initial content migration completed within two months, and a complete migration within a year. Today, Contentstack powers domains including fbs.com.

“With Contentstack, we can deliver our content so much faster,” Simanova said. “We’ve changed our focus from relying on developers to delivering content via the content managers, who are now wholly responsible for content on the website. Before Contentstack, we could only close 26% of requests in a day, and now that percentage is 95%.”  

Moving forward, FBS are planning to empower business managers to take more control over content requests, allowing content managers to handle more strategic high-value tasks, and provide business managers with autonomy to make changes independently within the CMS. 

By powering the website with headless technology, FBS has improved the experience for users, both in terms of an updated and more modern design, and in the content available for consumption. “As changes can be made immediately, users have access to better, more accurate and up-to-date information,” Simanova said.

Looking ahead, FBS are planning to implement an analytics tool to better visualize and measure core business metrics, and are also looking to do more with localization and translation for their global domains, optimizing translation processes to meet the needs of nine key localized audiences.
