The Smartling-Contentstack app allows content authors to initiate translation and check translation statuses directly within Contentstack. The hybrid app is an extension of the existing Smartling-Contentstack integration and does not work as a stand-alone application.

The new hybrid app prioritizes content authors, allowing them to work directly with their preferred platform, Contentstack. Content authors no longer need to access Smartling's interface to collaborate on the translation process, and they now have real-time visibility on the translation status for any Contentstack entry.

Request Translation - Participating in translation shouldn't be hard. If you're using the Smartling Contenstack translation integration, then you're probably looking for a way to initiate translation without having to access the Smartling platform. Now with our new Contenstack widget you can initiate new Smartling translation jobs from directly within Contenstack. You'll be able to add to existing jobs, select languages, included Related Items, and special instructions for the translation team if necessary.

Check Translation Status - Navigating into Smartling to check on the translation status for an entry takes time. Learning the translation platform can take some time and not all users may have access. Instead, our new Contenstack widget will provide real-time translation status for all languages of a given entry. Reduce time spent navigating and learning a new platform when you're simply just looking for a status update.
