About Search

Contentstack’s Search functionality allows you to effortlessly locate any assets or entries within a specific stack. Whether you are looking for specific content or managing a vast amount of data, the search feature is designed to make your workflow smoother and more productive go-to tool.

You can easily access the Search bar by clicking the search icon in the header of the Contentstack app or by navigating to the Entries or Asset list. With its intuitive design and robust capabilities, Contentstack’s search feature ensures you can find what you need without hassle.

Note: When working within specific branches, your search results are limited to the content types, entries, and assets within that branch. For instance, if you're working in the development branch, you'll only see search results relevant to that branch. For more details, refer to our Branch-specific Modules documentation.

Contentstack Search offers several powerful options to meet your needs:

  • Quick Search: Instantly perform a full-text search across the stack to find matching entries or assets.
  • Search with Filters: Refine your search results by applying various filters to narrow down the output and find exactly what you are looking for.
  • Advanced Search: Utilize conditional operators to create complex queries for specific content within your stack. You can add multiple conditions and sub-conditions to precisely refine your search results.
  • Views: The Views feature lets you save and quickly switch between different search configurations. Whether you are searching specific content types or applying filters, views allows you to access your saved searches effortlessly, streamlining your workflow.
